Renn has nearly 15 years of experience in the Private Wealth Management industry. He started his career as a financial analyst and trader in 2006. After graduating from the University of Utah in Finance in 2008, he went to work in the Private Wealth Management Division of Goldman, Sachs & Co. where he spent more than six years. He had responsibility for and led teams across several client specific initiatives that took him on assignments to New York, Washington DC, Switzerland and India.
After exiting Goldman, he has been committed to working as an independent advisor and fiduciary and a comprehensive planning advocate for his clients. Renn has also earned a Personal Financial Planning Certificate from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), and after several years of direct financial planning experience and rigorous coursework, he passed his certification exam and received the prestigious Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Designation.
Renn joined TownSquare capital as an Investment Advisor Representative in 2018. He continues working with high net worth individuals, families, and corporations. Renn often plays a primary role in a family's or corporation’s overall financial management of an estate or balance sheet. He has significant expertise in tax strategy and utilization, estate planning, transfer planning, retirement and cash flow planning, and risk mitigation and management as well as ongoing investment management for each of his clients.
Renn and his wife have three children and live in Salt Lake City. Renn is an avid skier, and enjoys other outdoor activities in the mountains as well.
